About Lifu Chen

I am both a chemical engineer and a chemist. I am a highly results-driven researcher, as I obtained my PhD within 3 years at Oxford University with more than 25 journal papers and 2 patents. I am expert in nanoeletrochemistry especially in graphene materials, polymer thin films/nanoparticles syntheses and characterization.I did my undergraduate in Chemical Engineering at University of Nottingham, during which I was the top 1 student through three years. Enjoying the process of problems-solving and challenging myself with the latest scientific problems, I decided to pursue my PhD with the aim of tackling the challenges of energy transformation.I would like to start my career where I can apply my knowledge and research ability into solving real-life challenges. I do wish my work could have some impacts on people’s life and make our society better. I have worn many hats through my study – engineer, scientist, researcher, supervisor, writer, team leader. As a result, I have a unique ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects and navigate complex challenges and always get the jobs done in-time and high-quality.My experimental techniques: Electrochemistry (cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry, etc.), Fluorescence microscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy, SEM, TEM, XRD, BET, Coulter Counter; syntheses of graphene and polymer nanoparticles/films
