ABOUT LIESBETH M. TIP

Allround clinical practitioner, researcher and teacher in clinical psychology, open to opportunities where I can utilise my data analytic skills to further the field of mental health.I’m a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist with extensive experience working as a therapist, researcher and teacher. My motivation is to improve mental health and wellbeing by maximising information from data, whether from individuals to understand and improve their mental health, or in research to add to the evidence-base on influential factors that can ultimately lead to better treatments- 15+ years of experience as a therapist in inpatient and outpatient settings, primary care, university clinics, individually and in groups, families and couples, adults and children and young people- 7+ years of experience of supervision of trainees in clinical psychology (GGZ, University of Amsterdam), CBT (UvA, University of Edinburgh)- Worked for 3 clinical (CBT) trials as therapist and researcher, experience of over 7 years- Project/research lead on 6 projects; additional collaborative projects and supervised 10+ student projects- Advanced statistical analyses including Item Response Theory; Structural Equation Modelling- Qualitative research methods including semi-structured interviews, focus groups and participant observation- 10+ years of teaching experience in academic institutions, tutoring, leading, developing and organising courses on mental health, clinical psychology, CBT, quantitative statistics- Supervision of academic student research projects including Bachelor, Master projects and PhD supervision; quantitative and qualitative methods- Grant and ethics applications, regulatory approvals for data linkage- Serviced and policy development including data and risk management, operationalisation into practice, research strategy development- Science communication and knowledge exchange: presentations at national and international academic conferences; publications in peer-reviewed academic journals; blogs; stakeholder events; TV interviews (BBC, STV), podcasts (Scotland’s Singing for Health Network); interviews for BBC and Forbes; social media interviews- Retired co-founder of Scotland’s Singing for Health Network; retired co-founder and Director of the Dutch Academic Network in the UK (DANinUK)Data analysis- R, SPSS, JASP, NVIVO (advanced)- SQL, Python (fundamentals, improving)Registrations:Clinical Psychologist HCPCCounselling Psychologist HCPCCBT Scientist VGCTGZ-Psychologist BIGFellowship of the Higher Education Academy
