ABOUT LIAT HAKMON
I am a recent graduate from Florida State University with a Bachelors degree in Political Science and Interdisciplinary Social Science with a specialization in public policy focusing on poverty and inequality. To support this focus I received a certification in public policy under the ISS degree. Within this degree I was able to foster my love for research and public policy by taking part in individual research opportunities.During my undergrad, I participated in leadership roles and responsibilities on my campus that have allowed me to gain understandings of the importance of communication, teamwork and community; which will all benefit me in my desired career in the media industry. As I prioritize global engagement, I received my certification in global citizenship as well as induction into FSUs Garnet and Gold society. To further along my global interests I partook in an exchange program at the University of Salzburg in Austria during the spring/summer 2023 semester. This opportunity allowed me to immerse myself into a new culture and lifestyle that I would not have been able to experience otherwise.Following my graduation I have decided to continue my education at Florida State University with a Masters degree in Media and Communication Studies on a thesis track, to pursue a career within the media, news, or sports industry.
