About Lia Seth

I do HR for the people who are tired of being told that the broken processes we\'re used to are “just how startups work.” I build necessary systems that are invisible when done well: plain language handbooks, robust performance systems, people-first leaves and accommodations, and internal communications based in humanity. By design, my work sits at the intersection of accessibility and people operations and I always prioritize inclusion. I specialize in building out People Operations systems and strategy at growing start-ups, with a focus on comms, change management, and building trusted relationships.I\'m also a sought-after speaker and thought leader; I\'ve participated on panels and interviews with Pando, AllVoices, I Hate It Here, Alice Wong\'s Disability Visibility Project. My original writing has been featured by WorkWeek, Pearson Education, the Gottman Institute, Girl Scouts of Northern California, and the Disability Visibility Project.

   Feb 2024 — Present

   Balancing both strategic and operational functions, I hit the ground running in my first 90 days by project managing the drafting, design, and deployment of our first visual employee handbook, including communicating updates to employees. I currently act as business partner for the clinical wellness team, the company\'s largest business unit (~50% of employees), and have built trusted relationships with other company leaders and employees. I also owned the transition off our PEO to a new ASO platform at the end of 2024, including managing an active open enrollment which successfully saw 100% of eligible employees enrolled in new plans before the deadline, primarily due to my creative internal communication strategy.In September 2024, I was voted by my peers as the recipient of the annual \"we embrace diversity\" core value champion award.Tech stack: Rippling, CultureAmp, AllVoices, Pando, Cocoon, Kamsa, Pave, ClickUp, Learnerbly, Ashby, Sequoia
