Lian Kimia is a passionate professional with a decade of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, marketing, event planning, and community building across both the venture capital and non-profit sectors.Lian has established a wide-ranging network within the local and international tech, venture capital, and startup communities, spanning key innovation hubs in Los Angeles, Tel Aviv, San Francisco, New York, and Paris.As Head of Business Development and Value Creation at Group 11, a Los Angeles-based early-stage VC, Lian collaborates closely with portfolio companies on go-to-market (GTM) initiatives to add value based on their specific needs. Lian focuses on introductions to potential clients/customers, investors, and top talent, as well as PR and fundraising announcements. Lian has a diverse skill set and oversees all aspects of branding and marketing for Group 11, including the website, content creation, graphic design, newsletter, social media, and events such as the annual LP Day.Prior to her role at Group 11, Lian worked in international development at the Harold Grinspoon Foundation/PJ Library, and was Community Builder at Pritzker Group Venture Capital. While living in Israel between 20••••15, Lian co-founded Axis Innovation, a firm that connects startups and investors worldwide.Lian is a connector at heart, and she derives immense satisfaction from making introductions that generate new opportunities for others.
