About Liang-Bo Wang
Advancing personalized medicine for cancer patients is at the heart of my work. I bridge engineering and multi-omics analysis to translate biological data into actionable insights, enabling more precise and effective therapies.At Moderna, I drive omics data processing improvements to support our precision immunotherapy programs. Working closely with teams across engineering, clinical biomarkers, and early-stage research, I develop and validate bioinformatics pipelines that ensure regulatory compliance and deliver high-quality tumor characterization. This work enables accurate neoantigen prediction and ultimately improves patient outcomes.Beyond the work, I’m active in open-source technical communities (Python, R, Bioinformatics), sharing knowledge as both a speaker and organizer.Previously, my PhD research focused on characterizing human tumors using advanced technologies such as mass spectrometry, single-cell sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, and multiplexed imaging. I contributed to major cancer research consortia, including TCGA, CPTAC, and HTAN.
