About Liana Shapiro
Throughout my pursuit of a BS in Economics with a minor in Journalism, I have gained many skills and qualifications through leadership positions, networking, work experience in several fields, volunteering, and traveling. I am President of Auburn University’s Hillel Organization and Vice President of the Economics Club with big goals for both of these organizations during my time to serve them, one including bringing to life the first ever Hillel building in Auburn for students and increasing student participation by over 100%. I have been able to dabble in politics while here by networking and being able to experience the life of a US Congressman, even able to attend GOP exclusive events. I have worked as a receptionist for two local businesses, waitress at several bustling restaurants, and do PR for trendy boutiques all while in school, which has taught me much about time management and the industries I\'ve worked for. With family all around the world, I\'ve spent extensive time visiting/on programs to learn, work, and volunteer, which has added positive cultural and adaptive features to my personality.
