ABOUT LIAM MOONEY

I am a connector of people, communities, and ideas. My roles as a brand strategist, designer, entrepreneur and educator allow me to work with people from all walks-of-life to create and shape businesses that prioritize people, community, and diversity. I advise business leaders on their brand and community strategy alongside a global network of brilliant creatives. I\'ve developed brand strategies with some exceptional organizations: Hyatt Hotels, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Parks Canada, City of Ottawa, Canadian Heritage (PCH), Music Publishers Canada, Natural Resources Canada, Cooperative Housing Federation of Canada, McDonalds, Evergreen, Hydropothecary / Hexo, and Orlando Corporation. I believe: Everyone is creative Diversity is necessary for innovation Core purpose and community comes before profit Three core values guide my practice: Creativity Community Curiosity Day-to-day I love solving complex problems for our clients alongside talented creatives, strategists, and designers. The daily challenge and adventure of the creative process, getting messy, generating ideas, and refining them to a finished product that connects with people. I own a creative agency named Jackpine, I teach at Carleton University in the School of Communications, and I am a public speaker / media personality on issues related to branding, business, technology, and politics. I also serve on the board of the University of Ottawa\'s radio station, CHUO 89.1FM. Over time I hope to contribute to a shift in Ottawa\'s identity away from a focus on the crown and parliamentary precinct, to a city that becomes known for so much more. Our business community and civil institutions will play a huge role in shaping that identity I am inspired and motivated to play a role in that transformation.
