Since it\'s inception, I\'ve been the Lead Mentor for CMI\'s Artist Manager Program (both in-person and virtually).The Artist Manager Program helps emerging managers, self-managed artists and transitioning industry professionals develop career building skills, insights and networks.As a manager, you are responsible for growing two businesses: your clients and your own. For four weeks, participants are mentored by working artist managers and industry professionals in an active artist management company in Toronto.Managers are assisted with customizing their business models, pushing their entrepreneurial skills, solidifying an understanding of industry contracts and revenue streams, and are connected with professionals across all areas of the music industry.Beyond the Artist Manager Program, I was the Lead Mentor for CMI\'s Artist Entrepreneur Program (AE#25). The Artist Entrepreneur program is designed to help artists and bands of all genres build their businesses and create more sustainable careers.Artists work hands-on with CMI’s team of industry experts (touring, marketing, funding, PR, performance, and production, among others) via mentoring, networking, and collaboration. Artists also meet other active industry professionals in music law, business management, talent buying, music publishing, music supervision, and performing rights organizations. Beyond working with CMI on their core programs (Artist Manager & Artist Entrepreneur), I have had the opportunity to lead bootcamps and workshops across Canada in association with Music Nova Scotia, Music NB / Area 506 Festival, City of London (Ontario), Cultural Industries Ontario North, Come Together, Passport Music Summit, Manitoba Music, SaskMusic, Alberta Music, Music BC, BC Country Music Association, PEAK Performance Project, Project WILD, East Coast Music Awards, Music NL, BreakOut West, Allan Slaight Juno Master Class, Aboriginal Music Week, AE West, and more.
