ABOUT LIAM CHEYNE

Fully qualified Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA), currently working as an Audit Senior Manager at AAB. I started my career with EY, initially joining in 2013 on the school leaver programme, I spent 5 years working towards my professional qualification and another year as a fully qualified Audit Senior ahead of a move to the Oil and Gas industry.During my time in industry, I worked in a number of roles with growing private equity-backed businesses as an Analyst and as a Financial Controller, focusing on KPI reporting, process improvement and general financial management for multiple entities. In my final industry role as Financial Controller for Coretrax\'s EARC region, I was a key part of the regional management team, working with the regional Operations Manager, Service Manager and Country Managers to support the Western Hemisphere President in driving growth and performance.I re-joined EY in late 2022 as an Audit Manager, re-integrating myself into the audit department and managing a number of client engagements in both the Oil and Gas and Automotive industries.Following this short period at EY, I joined AAB as an Audit Senior Manager in July 2023, taking on a portfolio of clients in varying size (from privately-owned/owner-managed businesses to large international oil and gas operators). As the Audit Business Unit representative in the Energy Sector and ESG networks, I work with the firm\'s internal network across business units to think about how we can continue to best serve and support our clients.
