Hello I\'m the Volunteer & Communities Manager at Nacoa, the National Association for Children of Alcoholics.Nacoa was founded in 1990 to provide information, advice, and support for everyone affected by a parent\'s drinking.1 in 5 children in the UK live with a parent who drinks too much and most of them will try to hide their family\'s problems from the outside world.With lived experience of this issue, I\'m passionate about rauising awareness of the support Nacoa provides.Part of my role involves working with organisaions to help them understand the impact of parental alcohol problems and how to support the children and adults affected.If you\'re interested in a lunch and learn or training session for your team, please do drop me a message - I\'d love to have a chat.
