The role of a Merseyside Firefighter is to save and preserve endangered life by supporting and maintaining an emergency response service to the community. Instances where Firefighters are called upon to make life-saving decisions include the distinguishing of all fire related incidents, responding to requests for emergency medical care and rescuing people from what can be distressing situations.As well as providing this crucial service, Merseyside Firefighters assist in the delivery of prevention activities to the most vulnerable people in our region to keep them safe. We also work closely with local businesses to ensure they are safe and compliant with current fire safety law and regulations.
