Herkimer WPCP Improvements:$7.5 million dollar water pollution control plant upgrade. Project includes full removal and replacement of the majority of the plant’s process mechanical equipment. Replacement of the mechanical bar screen, manual bar screen, raw influent pumps, blowers, aerated grit piping, and grit vortex unit at the headworks building. Replacement of the chain-and-flight clarifiers. Installation of new digester blower canopy and installation of new sludge pumps, blowers and aeration piping at aerobic digesters. Sequenced demolition of RAS and WAS piping and pumps. Replacement of belt filter press, polymer pump and associated piping at the dewatering building. Chemical feed skid improvements for effluent disinfection. Miscellaneous admin building architectural improvements.Stony Point STP Upgrades:$6.1 million dollar sewage treatment plant upgrade. Project includes deep excavation and shoring for the installation of a new headworks facility.~30\' cut required in wet soils, requiring interior braced sheetpiling along with intensive exterior dewatering. Project consists of over 500CY of cast-in-place concrete to construct new headworks, along with new influent pumps, slide gates, automatic bar screen, and grit vortex equipment. New CMU building over the top of the deep structure with a precast plank roof. Interior contains hundreds of feet of process piping, along with a new gas detection system and a full HVAC. Rome WRRF Improvements:$5.8 million dollar wastewater treatment plant upgrade. Project consists of ground improvements with grouted aggregate piers followed by installation of a glass-fused to steel Statewide Aquastore leachate tank. Other improvements includes of yard piping along with concrete rehabilitation, pump replacement, HVAC and piping improvements at the headworks facility. Difficult project requiring a long-duration bypass for the entire headworks improvement scope bypassing 100% of the plant\'s influent flows.
