ABOUT LIAM HORSFIELD

I am an experienced aviation safety professional with a strong background in Cabin Safety, Training, and Management Systems across major international airlines and manufacturers. I am currently working with Boeing as part of the Cabin Safety Training team, where I serve as a Cabin Safety Specialist. In this role, I am at the forefront of Cabin Safety, supporting our global customer base with expert training, safety initiatives, and technical guidance.Prior to joining Boeing, I worked with British Airways as the Management System Training and Promotion Manager. I led the development of the Competency Development Pathway for all Safety and Security Practitioners, enhancing engagement and proficiency in the airline’s Integrated Management System across colleagues worldwide. My work focused on deepening organisational understanding of risk management through training, coaching, and collaborative projects.Before that, I held a leadership role at TUI UK/Nordic, where I was responsible for Cabin Crew Training across the UK and Nordic markets. Following the pandemic, I transitioned to the TUI Airline platform, where I drove the global alignment of Cabin Safety Training across five AOCs, fostering consistency and excellence in safety standards.Academically, I previously earned an MSc in Travel Business Leadership from Leeds Beckett University, achieving Distinction and receiving the Bill Maxwell Award for Travel Business Excellence. I am now preparing to embark on my next academic journey—an MSc in Aviation Safety Management, Risk, and Regulation—to further enhance my expertise and contribution to the advancement of aviation safety.
