About Liam Snyder

Howdy, I’m Liam. I’m currently pursuing an MBA at Mays Business School at Texas A&M University, building on a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. I\'ve always said that I have an engineering brain but a business mind, which means I think methodically about problems but keep efficiency in mind for the future. I’ve always been a hands-on builder and lifelong tinkerer. Some of my projects include developing a microwave rifle capable of disrupting drones and electronic devices, as well as leading the design of a smart, modular telescope for my capstone project that self-calibrates and tracks celestial objects throughout the night with only five minutes of setup.Beyond personal projects, I have a strong passion for manufacturing and operational efficiency. I currently run Polus Systems, a manufacturing consulting firm working with clients across industries ranging from cabinet manufacturing to energy logistics. Through this work, I focus on improving processes, optimizing workflows, and helping organizations operate more effectively.At the core of everything I do is a desire to keep learning and to use that knowledge to help people and organizations grow.

   Aggies Create is a student-led organization that enables students to create, design, and finalize engineering projects with companies or on personal product design teams. Aggies Create focuses on the passion of students rather than experience and allows students who do not have the chance to create by themselves the opportunity to work with other passionate students.The organization currently has 85+ members and 15+ teams. I have worked a semester as a team lead, helping a group of 4 engineers to create a dual-sided linear actuator, and now as an officer, I am able to help students who have the same passion as I do.
