About Lia Winograd
Hi! I am the Co-founder and Co-CEO of Pepper, a direct-to-consumer bra brand built for small-chested women and grown to eight figures without venture capital. Pepper began as a scrappy Kickstarter (470% funded) and grew into a global, community-first brand that challenges outdated beauty standards and puts fit first. From day one, I have been deeply involved in building an ethical, globally scaled supply chain, always with a focus on doing things the right way, not the easy way. My background spans large corporations, consulting, early-stage startups, and hands-on operating, giving me a wide-ranging perspective on how companies are built and scaled. I began my career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company and earned my MBA from NYU Stern, bringing an analytical, data-driven approach to decision-making, paired with a deeply creative instinct for brand, product, and community. I am a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, named to Inc.’s Top 100 Female Founders, and recognized by Poets & Quants as one of the Best & Brightest MBAs. Originally from Colombia, where my roots are deeply tied, I intentionally built Pepper’s supply chain there as a way to give back, creating long-term partnerships, investing in ethical manufacturing, and supporting skilled local teams.Need advice?
