    As the Regional Manager for Natural Resource Stewardship and Science (NRSS) in the Midwest Region (MWR) of the National Park Service (NPS), I supervise a team of highly skilled scientists and program managers. Together, we oversee the NRSS Program, which encompasses critical areas such as air, water, soil, plant, fish, and wildlife management, as well as integrated pest management, invasive species control, wilderness preservation, and renewable energy initiatives. Our work also includes managing National Natural Landmarks, conducting environmental reviews, and addressing abandoned mine lands.The NRSS Program provides expert technical assistance, strategic management approaches, and policy guidance on natural resource conservation to over 60 national park units within 13 states. These parks span key regions, including the Great Lakes, Missouri Basin, and Mississippi Basin, ensuring the protection and stewardship of natural resources across this vast and diverse landscape.
