About Lisa Yang
I started as a digital media encoder at a small film distribution firm in New York City. This is where I got to learn all the moving pieces in simple technical environments, which helped when I moved to my next company into a customer-facing role, where I assisted customers in setting up and running webcasts. This was where I honed my customer service skills to delight customers. My first role in a fully technical space was as a Project Manager. My background in production translated very well into coordinating all the moving pieces that go into software delivery. During my time as a Project Manager, I worked with front-end development teams and DevOps delivery pipelines. My diverse career background helps me understand diverse perspectives from end user, project manager, to engineers. At PagerDuty, I am a problem solver who helps companies close product gaps with innovative and scalable solutions. My soft skills include the ability to streamline problems to find simple solutions while my technical skills enable me to deliver the final product.
