About Lane Hoffer

I am an experienced human services professional with over 18 years in the developmental disabilities (DD) field and more than a decade of leadership experience. I currently serve as a Care Coordinator at Better Together ND, supporting individuals through Community Connect and Free Through Recovery services. In this role, I provide individualized care coordination and assist participants in navigating recovery, housing, employment, and community-based systems.I also serve as a Project Coordinator for The Arc of Bismarck, focusing on advocacy, community engagement, and expanding resources for vulnerable populations.Previously, I served as Grant and Development Manager at the Abused Adult Resource Center (AARC), where I supported efforts to expand services, strengthen funding capacity, and build community partnerships.Prior to that, I worked with Missouri Slope Areawide United Way, overseeing operations at the Center for Opportunity shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness. I also spent many years with HIT Inc, advancing from Direct Support Professional into leadership roles including Assistant Day Support Manager and Manager of the Creative Learning Department. In 2022, I served as a Residential Coordinator at Enable Inc, overseeing 13 residential sites and leading a team of 11 supervisors. In 2013, I received HIT Inc.’s Achieved Excellence Award for exceptional service.Alongside my human services career, I have a strong background in marketing and community engagement. From 2001 to 2011, I promoted concerts, building experience in event promotion, outreach, and audience engagement. More recently, I led promotional efforts for community events, further strengthening my passion for messaging, engagement, and connection.I have completed more than 1,380 professional trainings, including DD Certification and Advanced DD Certification through Minot State University.I remain actively involved in the community through volunteer and committee work with organizations including Bismarck Memory Café, Dream Center, City of Bismarck Community Development Advisory Committee, Bis-Man Transit CTIC, Missouri Valley Coalition for Homeless People, Alzheimer’s Association Walk Committee, Dakota Safety Network, and Burleigh County Housing Authority, where I serve as Co-Chair and Commissioner.My career reflects a strong commitment to advocacy, collaboration, and building meaningful community partnerships that create lasting impact.
