ABOUT LESLIE HERNANDEZ
I am passionate about advancing global mental health and promoting access to care for all individuals, regardless of heritage, migration history, or interpersonal challenges. I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live in peace and emotional well-being within a world free form violence. I am a second year MA student in Clinical Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University, and I am also pursuing a BCBA certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. Beyond my academic work, I collaborate with parents and adolescents to support educational stability and mental health, helping to prevent relapse and foster resilience. In the coming years, I plan to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology, obtain licensure, and ultimately open my own practice. Through the ICP internship, I hope to deepen my understanding of global health disparities and developing strategies to better serve communities in need. I look forward to learning from my colleagues, expanding my professional network, and contributing efforts that promote mental health equity worldwide.
