About Laís Lacey Granemann

I am currently completing a year-long Postdoctoral Residency in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. My research and clinical interests include acculturation within immigrant families, the impact of migration on mental health, and post-migration determinants of health. During my doctoral studies, I trained in community mental health clinics and medical/psychiatric hospitals providing individual, couples, and group therapy and conducting psychological evaluations in English and Spanish. I completed my undergraduate and master’s degrees in psychology in Brazil, where I worked as a licensed psychologist in private practice for over seven years. With five years of teaching experience in higher education, I have taught in-person, remote, and hybrid undergraduate courses such as Personality, Adolescent and Adult Development, Cross-Cultural Psychology, as well as laboratory classes (Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods, and Biopsychology).
