Virtual Strongbox is a spin-off company of DigitalMailer Inc. that provides on-line secure document storage and exchange. The CTO job description and responsibilities have been split between both companies for this view. • Rose through the ranks from Chief Architect to Chief Technology Officer. • Report directly to CEO as part of the executive management team to drive new technology initiatives, lead all aspects of technology, and determine the direction of software development, solutions and product offerings. • Provide senior managers technological vision and direction to implement company long and short term goals and make recommendations to improve and expand product line. • Handle component and data architecture of applications and lead development of software as a service (Saas) solutions. • Review, evaluate, and identify vendors, hosting providers, and technology platforms to deliver services and products. • Identify opportunities and risks for delivering technology including identification of competitive services, opportunities for innovation, assessment of technical obstacles to the business success, and make recommendations to improve and expand product line. • Manage annual comprehensive SSAE 16 SOC II audits to certify the integrity, reliability and security of service offerings to clients successfully for 3 years. • Designed and lead team to develop a proof of concept and prototype for a new, innovative product and spin-off company (Virtual StrongBox) for on-line, secure document storage and exchange. • Obtained and applied for patents related to the new document storage and exchange technology for Virtual StrongBox. • Transitioned DigitalMailer to a new owner, lead technology due diligence and knowledge transfer, and carried out the start-up and established infrastructure of a new technology company, Virtual StrongBox.
