I am one of a couple of official LEAP.cc speakers in Colorado. I educate people (lawyers and civilians) about the failure of the 40 year old war on drugs. I suggest that having the govt. control distribution of ALL drugs (dangerous, less dangerous, and benign) instead of having manufacture and distribution handled by the Taliban or by other drug cartels. The govt. currently acts to keep the street prices high, with no control over who can purchase drugs, turning a health issue into a criminal issue, creating additional crime instead of reducing it, and avoiding all means of protecting young people from this health issue.
