WORK HISTORY
It-phitz Healthy Love Hiv Sexual Health Educator @Rollins School Of Public Health At Emory University
Atlanta, GA, US
Developing and implementing innovative preventive strategies to address the HIV epidemic challenges among Black women is a crucial and impactful endeavor. This initiative involves creating tailored approaches that resonate with the unique experiences and needs of this community. One key aspect is conducting workshops in locations requested by participants, which ensures accessibility and fosters a sense of safety and comfort. By meeting women in their chosen environments, we can better engage with them and address their specific concerns. Additionally, facilitating engaging presentations is essential for fostering genuine conversations and personalized understanding of HIV/AIDS prevention. These presentations are designed to be interactive, encouraging participants to ask questions and share their experiences, thereby creating a supportive space for learning and discussion. This approach not only educates but also empowers Black women to take proactive steps in their health and well-being, ultimately contributing to a reduction in HIV transmission rates within the community. Through these combined efforts, we aim to create sustainable and effective preventive strategies that make a real difference in the lives of Black women.
