ABOUT ALEXIS J TAYLOR

I’ve been chasing systems since I was a kid: first weather, now economic power and who holds it during major transitions.I once carried a small weather station to school because I wanted to be a tornado chaser. I\'ve never stopped looking at the clouds or chasing what forms beneath them.I\'m a Midwesterner living in Austin who works across sectors and scales, from global institutions to local experiments in my own neighborhood. I\'m drawn to misfits, bridge-builders, and people who don\'t fit in one lane. The question I keep coming back to is simple: when systems shift, who gains power and who gets left behind?Right now, that question shows up in my work on the future of work, economic mobility, and how infrastructure shapes who benefits from growth. As an Aspen Institute Economic Mobility Fellow, I explore how the AI transition is changing pathways to mobility. At Indeed, I\'ve led product and strategy work focused on helping people get hired faster, improving job quality, and building systems that support responsible growth. As an Americas Council Member of TISFD, I contribute to emerging financial disclosure standards that influence how capital flows toward more equitable growth. Before this, I co-founded the Davos Lab at the World Economic Forum and mobilized 2 million people across 150 countries to build the world\'s first youth-driven pandemic recovery plan. I scaled 3 Day Startup, equipping people across 35+ countries with entrepreneurial skills. I also served as a City of Austin Commissioner for Economic Prosperity and Sustainability.I\'m completing graduate studies at the University of Houston\'s Strategic Foresight program, the oldest of its kind in the world. If you\'re working at the intersection of economic systems, the future of work, capital markets, or something that refuses a clean category — I\'d like to know you— Alexis
