As Project Quality Advisor for the National Gas Project UK, I serve as the Project Quality Advisor for multiple compressor site packages across St Fergus, Diss, Hatton, and Kirriemuir, providing quality oversight and coordination for key valve vendors based in both the UK and Italy.I work in close collaboration with the Wood Engineering/Package focal points, QA Leads, and vendor project teams to monitor and manage supplier performance across the full project lifecycle. My responsibilities included driving compliance with quality requirements, ensuring timely delivery of equipment, and reporting progress against project cost and schedule objectives.I proactively integrate constructability considerations early in the purchase order lifecycle, supporting both vendor and sub-vendor execution plans. I also lead the development and implementation of inspection and expediting strategies tailored to each site and supplier, ensuring alignment with National Gas specifications and contractual obligations.Throughout the project, I support the resolution of technical queries, maintaining regular communication with the client and internal stakeholders, and provide detailed reporting on supplier progress, risks, and mitigations. I also assist in maintaining oversight of vendor adherence to the approved Scope of Work, Contract Execution Plan, and Quality Management System. Working closely with the QA and Supply Chain teams, I ensure vendor Quality Plans and ITPs are fully aligned with Wood QA standards. I contribute to the Quality Improvement Plan, assisting to define risk mitigation strategies, and facilitate lessons learned to drive ongoing performance improvement across all vendor work scopes.In support of vendor assurance, I conduct site visits to vendors and sub-vendors in the UK, and remotely in Italy for Valve suppliers, meeting with in-country vendors and strengthening working relationships to ensure compliance and successful delivery of project critical packages.
