Leading and developing a team of 5 Data & Analytics professionals, I am responsible for driving the Risk Data & Analytics capability, ensuring the business have the information they need, at the right time, to make better decisions. I have worked to coach and develop members of the team, introducing them to modern analytics tooling, allowing us to deliver across the following principles - Simplification and efficiency - examining existing processes for improvement opportunities using better analytics or automation - Self-service capability - reducing manual effort, and allowing timely access to analytics via a self-service reporting platform - Improving data quality - working with multiple stakeholder groups to understand our data challenges, and to kick off initiatives to improve on them Through developing the team, and increasing our delivery capability, I have been able to - Establish a central reporting model, reducing duplication of effort, and ensuring accurate and better governed data- Rolled out a standard methodology for providing insights into all Risk Committees, resulting in better conversations, and a unified understanding of the risk position across all risk categories- Designed and Implemented a Power BI self-service risk reporting application for all business units within the bank, driving ownership of risk management- Established the team as Subject Matter Experts on all things Microsoft Power Platform, engaging other areas of the business to coach and develop their skills - Led on multiple efficiency initiatives, leveraging Power Apps and Power Automate to improve processes, reduce manual activity, and improve data collection and quality
