As a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) within the 194th Engineer Brigade of the Tennessee Army National Guard, my primary focus is providing essential support to over 100 personnel, promoting mental health awareness, and facilitating access to appropriate resources. While awaiting reclassification to perform counseling or therapy, I currently lead a team of two BHTs and collaborate with medical professionals to ensure the well-being of brigade members.\\\\n\\\\nOffer compassionate and non-counseling behavioral health support to brigade personnel. Engage in active listening, empathy, and understanding to help individuals cope with stress and emotional challenges.\\\\n\\\\nRespond promptly and effectively to crisis situations, providing immediate support and de-escalation, as necessary. Collaborate with qualified professionals for more extensive interventions.\\\\n\\\\nLead and supervise a team of two BHTs, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to enhance their skills and effectiveness in supporting the brigade\'s mental well-being.\\\\n\\\\nConduct workshops and training sessions to educate brigade personnel on mental health awareness, resilience-building, stress management, and coping techniques.\\\\n\\\\nFacilitate appropriate referrals to qualified mental health professionals or resources, both within the military and in the civilian community. Ensure follow-up and ongoing support for those receiving care.\\\\n\\\\nCollaborate with unit leadership, chaplains, medical personnel, and community mental health providers to establish a comprehensive support network for the 194th Engineer Brigade.\\\\n\\\\nMaintain compliance with all military regulations and protocols regarding behavioral health services.
