Summary of Qualifications:* 10 years of professional experience in the software industry * Extensive experience developing and maintaining scalable, high performance applications * In depth knowledge of hardware and software systems from high level to very low level; Excellent \"mechanical sympathy\"* Able to work well under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and manage priorities * Very strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills Technical Expertise:* 10 years of experience with Java, SQL, and Linux development environments * Breadth of knowledge across various technologies and layers.* Experienced with both hardware and software levels of TCP/IP networking, including ethernet cabling, MAC addressing, ARP, DNS, DHCP, IP, TCP, UDP, SSL, HTTP, SMTP; frequent user of tcpdump/wireshark for network analysis/troubleshooting * Knowledgeable of low-level computer internals, with emphasis on x86; experience with x86 assembly, understanding of interactions between registers, cache, RAM, and swap memory; Understand concepts such as out-of-order executing, context switching, protected memory, cache locality, pipelined execution * Understanding of core OS functions, such as task switching, virtual memory, and process scheduling
