ABOUT CHARLOTTE LEWIS

As a user researcher in public sector, I run research relevant to the product, as well as the immediate and wider context of the project. At Companies House for example, I led the discovery research for a part of complex wide-ranging changes, starting with running workshops to help identify what areas we needed to focus on across the project. I then ran the research for beta until private beta, for one of the main transactional services at Companies House. I am passionate about the design of accessible services and products that meet the needs of those who use them, and the organisations driving them. With over 15 years of experience in user research, I have supported organisations with relevant tailored user research approaches, ensuring informed decision-making wherever it\'s needed. I have worked with both agile and waterfall product development approaches, in B2B and B2C contexts, and in private and public sector domains, with GDS experience. I have delivered user research at all stages of service and product design, using mixed methods as appropriate, and sharing and presenting actionable results. I have also facilitated design thinking, lean UX and design sprint style training and workshops, as well as mentored other user researchers. I hold several certifications and qualifications in user experience, usability, prototyping, analytics and as a Scrum Product Owner.
