ABOUT LEWIS LEDGER

As a Manufacturing Data Trainee at Howdens Kitchens, I work with SAP Manufacturing and SAP Central solutions to optimise production efficiency, streamline material management, and enhance data integrity. I focus on master data management, ensuring accurate and reliable data flows across key SAP Manufacturing modules, including: • SAP MM (Materials Management): Managing procurement, inventory, and the creation and maintenance of materials used in manufacturing (MM and BOMs). • SAP PP (Production Planning): Supporting production scheduling and capacity planning to maximise efficiency through creating and changing routings and production versions. • SAP ME (Manufacturing Execution): Tracking shop floor operations in real-time for improved process visibility. • SAP MII (Manufacturing Integration & Intelligence): Connecting production systems to SAP ERP for data-driven decision-making. • SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management): Handle storage, picking, and shipping of raw materials and finished goods which helps manage warehousing operations. While the bulk of my work is done in SAP Manufacturing, I do often cut across into SAP Central. I run reconciliation reports, authorisation reports, and commodity code checks for both systems, and maintain weekly SKU list’s and Tech Data Reports to be used by the wider business.
