Hi, I’m Lewis, Director and Co-Founder of Educators First Educators first is people-first education recruitment and consultancy business supporting schools and educators across the Wales.I’ve spent nearly a decade working in education recruitment, starting as a consultant and progressing into senior leadership. During that time, I’ve managed multiple regions, led large teams, and worked closely with school leaders, educators, and education organisations at every level.That experience shaped how I see recruitment - not as a transaction, but as a responsibility.I’ve seen the difference recruitment can make when it’s done properly:when schools feel supported, educators feel valued, and relationships are built on trust rather than pressure. I’ve also seen what happens when those values are missing - and that’s ultimately why I decided to build Educators First. Educators First was created to raise the standard of education recruitment by putting people before process, quality before volume, and long-term impact before short-term wins.At my core, I’m driven by relationships, integrity, and doing things the right way — even when it’s harder. I’m passionate about education, competitive by nature, and proud to build a business that reflects both high standards and genuine care.Family is everything to me. As a proud dad and husband, I know how important it is to balance career with the people who matter most. It’s one of the reasons I care so much about the work we do - supporting education professionals to find roles that work for them and their lives, while helping schools give every child the best possible chance to succeed.Sport and football is another big part of who I am. I’ve played, coached, and followed the game for as long as I can remember. It’s taught me about leadership, resilience, and building teams that work well together - all of which feed into how I lead and support others professionally.I’ve also had the chance to live and work in both America and Sweden, experiences that helped shape my perspective.
