Pierre Lévy explores the interplay between theories and design practices, focusing on how reflection, action, aesthetics, and ethics can transform the everyday. His research centers on embodiment theories and Japanese philosophy and culture, examining their contribution on design practices for the everyday.He is Professor at the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts (CNAM, France), holder of the Jean Prouvé Chair of Design, and researcher at the Dicen-IDF lab. He holds a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering (UT Compiègne, France), a PhD in Kansei (Affective) Science (University of Tsukuba, Japan), and an HDR in Information and Communication Sciences (UT Compiègne, France).
