As Project Manager of Specialty Spaces with the City of Mesa’s Office of Economic Development, I support Mesa’s startup and small business community by connecting entrepreneurs, founders, and growing companies with the space, resources, and programming they need to succeed.I oversee and activate Mesa Business Builder @ The Studios, a no-cost coworking and innovation hub, and LaunchPoint, the City’s technology incubator, which together provide startups and small businesses with access to workspaces, tech studios, mentorship, workshops, and collaborative programming. These spaces are designed to reduce barriers, foster connection, and help businesses move from idea to growth.My role includes close collaboration with community partners, nonprofits, higher education, and city departments to develop and deliver programs, events, and opportunities that strengthen Mesa’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Whether supporting early-stage founders, helping local businesses host trainings or workshops, or building pathways to resources and networks, I’m focused on making Mesa a place where businesses can start, scale, and thrive.

ABOUT LEVI LEYBA
Strategic communications and community development professional with more than 20 years of experience spanning media relations, executive messaging, project management, creative strategy, and public engagement. I currently serve as a Project Manager in the Office of Economic Development for the City of Mesa, where I help connect local entrepreneurs and business owners with the resources, training, and programs they need to grow and succeed.My background includes service as a law enforcement officer, where I was fortunate to lead brand-building campaigns, community outreach, and public engagement efforts that strengthened trust between government and the public. I also bring a creative foundation in visual communications, having spent over two decades in the private sector supporting nonprofits, startups, and small businesses through design, messaging, and project execution. My greatest passions are community and literacy. As a bilingual children’s book author and illustrator, my Young Series titles and other books serve Title I elementary schools across the country, using storytelling as a tool for connection and equity. I am also the founder of Autism Training Academy and work through Guardian Angel Council, a 501(c)(3) I started, to expand autism training for educators and support staff so they can better understand and support individuals on the spectrum. In all areas of my work, whether I am helping businesses grow, launching public initiatives, or creating books and training content, I am driven by the same goal: to create meaningful impact through thoughtful communication and community-centered problem-solving.
