I am a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS), Certified Floodplain Surveyor (CFS), Certified Mapping Scientist (CMS), GIS Professional (GISP), and Part 107 sUAS Remote Pilot with 20 years of experience delivering geospatial and surveying solutions across Maine. My expertise includes land surveying, GIS, remote sensing, cartography, bathymetry/hydrography, terrestrial laser scanning, and advanced spatial and statistical analyses.Currently, I serve as Senior Lead Land Surveyor and AVP of Newport for Main-Land Development Consultants, where I lead regional survey operations, guide project teams, and help clients solve complex land use challenges. My career has also included roles with respected firms such as Sewall, Haley Ward, and Kleinschmidt Associates, giving me a broad foundation in geospatial engineering consulting.In addition to my professional practice, I am actively engaged in advancing the surveying profession through leadership. I am the current President of the Maine Society of Land Surveyors (MSLS) and a prior Vice President and Executive Committee member. My priorities include increasing public and professional awareness, addressing workforce attrition, and strengthening collaboration with neighboring survey associations. I believe innovation, mentorship, and partnership are key to sustaining a strong future for our industry.Outside of work, I’m a Registered Maine Guide who operates a part-time guiding service and a community volunteer who coaches high school basketball. Rooted in central Maine, I live in Dexter with my wife and four children.
