ABOUT LEVAN BOKERIA

Cognitive Neuroscience PhD and Data Scientist specialising in Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and data-driven research for health and biomedical applications. Interested in AI in healthcare, aging and longevity research, and accelerating the pace of scientific discovery. As a Research Data Scientist at The Alan Turing Institute, I work on digital twin modelling of cardiovascular systems, building and evaluating reproducible pipelines for patient-specific physics-based models calibrated on clinical data. Additionally, I have worked on incorporation and evaluation of latest deep learning models in weather forecasting, and have scoped projects for LLM-enabled knowledge extraction from scientific papers. As a co-founder of the Society for Technological Advancement (SoTA), I lead on building a grassroots non-profit for fostering optimism about science and technology as drivers of human flourishing. Through SoTA, I have organised high-impact events, hackathons, and a growing online publication \"SoTA Letters\" with 1700+ subscribers. Technical expertise includes: Python, R, MATLAB, scientific computing, data visualisation, statistical modelling, and reproducible research workflows.
