ABOUT LETIZIA PONTORIERO
I\'m a Scientific Project Specialist and former researcher with a Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences from the University of Florence. My professional interests lie in the intersection between clinical studies, science communication, regulatory strategy, and the integration of patient perspectives in research design and policy development. My academic background is rooted in the biochemical and structural characterization of proteins involved in human pathologies, antibiotic resistance, and viral diseases. Since 2022, I have been working at Fondazione Toscana Life Sciences (TLS), where I play a central role in the coordination and implementation of several European-funded projects in the areas of healthcare innovation, personalised medicine, and clinical research, through which I contribute to advancing translational research, engaging stakeholders, and supporting strategic alignment within multidisciplinary consortia. I am also actively involved in local and European collaborative frameworks. I am a fellow of Cohort 8 of the EUPATI Patient Expert Training Programme, to shape my patient journey for advocating about chronic pain and invisible diseases.
