Senior Consultant in the Climate Action Planning and Transparency team to assist on projects related to climate change adaptation for the development of climate action plans at regional, national and subnational levels. I support the deployment of the Mission Implementation Platform for Adaptation to Climate Change (European Commission) by being Deputy team leader for the Task related to the provision technical assistance on climate adaptation planning to the 309 regions that are signatories to the Mission’s Charter. I deliver technical assistance to Charter Signatories in Spain.I coordinate a research assessing adaptation investment needs in Europe (funded by EC), which quantifies cost of adaptation by Member State and sector.I\'m managing and providing technical inputs to a project assessing climate and geohazard risk of the energy system in the Dominican Republic; and preparing resilience metrics and adaptation strategies for the sector.I worked on a study assessing vulnerability to heat of urban buildings in Manchester area (funded by UK Government. Department for Energy Security and Net Zero - DESNZ under CSN0W programme), and specifically contributing to cost benefit analysis and selection/prioritisation of adaptation measures.Contributing to business development in adaptation topics for Ricardo.

ABOUT LETIZIA MONTELEONE
An economist with an international development background, I have experience in the areas of disaster risk reduction, risk assessment, climate change impacts and adaptation, and policy implications for 5+ years. In my work I promote participatory approaches by engaging actors at national and local levels to support evidence-informed policies. I have expertise in data analysis, qualitative and quantitative research, stakeholder engagement, project management and business development. I am part of the EU Training for Trainers community on Science for Policy, being trained by the Joint Research Centre (JRC) in 2022.
