ABOUT LETICIA DECKER
Post-Doc researcher as Data Scientist at Scuola Normale Superiore | PhD Developing ML solutions for healthcare classification problems As a Post-Doc Data Scientist at Scuola Normale Superiore, I apply my PhD in Data Science and Computation to design and implement data-driven machine learning solutions for healthcare, specifically diagnosis and prognosis. I work with cutting-edge technologies such as deep neural networks, gradient boosting classifiers, and natural language processing to tackle complex and sensitive problems that require high accuracy and reliability. With over 6 years of experience in data science and AI, I have developed expertise in various domains, such as legal informatics, predictive maintenance, and healthcare applications. I have successfully delivered full software solutions for different applications, using Python as my primary programming language and employing standard and evolving ML algorithms, such as SVM, random forest, one-class SVM, fuzzy-granular methods, and so on. Furthermore,I have been working with NLP techniques, including TF-IDF, Part-Of-Speech Tagging, text classification, and parsing, alongside evolving fuzzy-granular methods. More recently, I have been engaged in projects involving LLM+clustering applied to healthcare time-series problems. I am proficient in English, Portuguese, and Italian, and I enjoy collaborating with diverse and interdisciplinary teams. My goal is to use data and AI to create a positive and meaningful impact for society and industry.
