Project 1: Conflict Minerals Analysis and Reporting (3TG)Description: Conflict minerals are minerals mined in conditions where armed conflict and human rights abuses occur. Commonly used for 4 minerals (3TG): Tungsten, Tantalum, Tin, and Gold that are mined in the eastern region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). These minerals are used in the production of various electronic devices.To stop these minerals entering into supply chain and helping rebel groups, all companies with business presence in USA have to identify and make sure that the source of 3TG in there products is conflict free.Role: ECAD Designer II/ Sr Component EngineerContribution:1. Identifying the assets/parts under scope of Conflict Minerals Analysis.2. Analyzing the presence of 3TG.3. Working with service providers to perform Reasonable Country of Origin Inquiry (RCOI)4. Preparing the final reports and disclosure to be acknowledged by legal department5. Performing due diligence-Project 2: Obsolescence ManagementDescription: This activity is required to ensure the production and sustenance of products.Role: ECAD Designer II/ Sr Component EngineerContribution:1. Analyzing the Product change notifications received directly from manufacturer/supply chain/ or 3rd party service providers (IHS/ Silicon Expert) and categorizing into Collecting and assessing the test results as per JEDEC standards from manufacturers in case of Identifying alternate parts/source for EOL.3.
