About Lester L Burney

With over 24 years of experience as both an Associate Professor and Advisor of Human Services Counseling at the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) and Clinical Practitioner, I am passionate about providing quality education and guidance to students and professionals in the field. I am also a Licensed Clinical Therapist and a Board Approved Supervisor, with a graduate certificate in Clinical Community Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and a master\'s degree in adult education from Coppin State University.In addition to teaching and advising, I have extensive experience in child welfare systems, mental health programs, and corrections training. I have served as an executive director, a program administrator, a psychiatric milieu manager, a staff development trainer, and a court appointed CASA worker. I have also presented at multiple national and local conferences and workshops on topics related to human services, residential service delivery, and master training. I am currently an adjunct professor at Stevenson University, where I teach courses in counseling and human services. My mission is to empower and inspire others to achieve their personal and professional goals through education, counseling, and advocacy.
