Leste is a front line Petroleum Engineering Leader with over 30 years experience in the E&P industry, committed to designing, managing and operating safe, efficient and cost effective wells and facilities with completions that maximize recovery, and facilities that are reliable and available, reduce need for intervention, reduce operating costs, and comply with legislation and good oilfield practices. Experience spans onshore (land and swamp) and offshore (Platforms and FPSO); Sandstone, Turbidite, Carbonate and Tight reservoirs; sweet and sour crudes; all types of wells - producers and injectors, in vertical, deviated, horizontal, multilateral and smart well configurations. He is a specialist at management and rejuvenation of declining fields and strategic cost leadership in working with wells in mature fields, well reviews, WRM, reservoir management and well intervention, Current interests are managing asset and well integrity, process safety and operability risks.Specialties: Digital Transformation, Well design and installation, completion and material selection; sand control; primary and secondary recovery processes – multiphase flow, flow assurance, water shut off, water flood, Artificial lift with ESP and Gas lift; problem well identification, intervention and work-over; Economic evaluation and strategic cost leadership. I also have experience in coaching and mentoring staff, acquisition and implementation of new technology and managing change.
