Professional Experience:Architectural design and production including: programming and loading studies, conceptual design through construction documents, production of small to medium single family residential and multi-family residential housing projects (wood frame/stick construction), with extensive work on Hope VI housing projects. Preparation and development of architectural design guidelines, building code research, specifications, and QA/QC compliance reviews. Urban Design and Planning: Planning processes and methodology, building typologies and massing studies, placemaking, community planning and design, programming and loading studies, site analysis, facilitating community charrettes/workshops and leading community visioning processes, schematic design through design development of site planning/design documents, and sustainable design and smart growth practices. Experience in neighborhood revitalization and affordable housing projects like Hope VI, large-scale master planned communities, small to medium mixed-use developments including town centers, transit-oriented development, residential and military family housing.Specialties include Project and Team Management: Highly skilled at collaborating and communicating with stakeholders and forging successful partnerships and relationships with both clients and communities, elected officials, residents, and community organizations.
