Boulder County – Climate Equity Fund Community Engagement LeadLed the co-creation and facilitation of a $3 million participatory grantmaking process for the Climate Equity Fund, a new community-driven initiative advancing climate justice in Boulder County. Ensured alignment with equity-centered principles by designing inclusive grantmaking policies, procedures, and training materials. Structured and implemented subcommittees, including the Collaborative Creation Committee and the Community Evaluation Committee, to guide decision-making and community ownership. Facilitated co-creation meetings and oversaw the development of the grant application, funding tiers, scoring rubrics, and evaluation frameworkSenior Grant ManagerI co-lead the grants management team for the EPA’s Thriving Communities Program in Region 8, supporting $60M in environmental investments across Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Montana, the Dakotas, and 28 tribal nations. My focus: getting resources into the hands of communities who’ve been disproportionately impacted by environmental and health inequities and doing it with trust, transparency, and urgency.I work alongside local leaders, tribal partners, and grassroots organizations to co-create funding strategies that are community-centered and outcomes-driven. From helping grantees build strong work plans and budgets to guiding them through complex systems, I make sure our investments translate into real-world progress.As a team lead, I manage grant managers and coordinate across leadership to ensure alignment, equity, and effectiveness. I also advise on community engagement, climate, health and policy all while keeping people, relationships, and long-term impact at the center of the work.
