ABOUT LESLIE RAMOS SALAZAR

Dr. Leslie Ramos Salazar (PhD, Arizona State University) is Professor of Business Communication and Decision Management and the Abdullat Professor of Business at the Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business at West Texas A&M University. She teaches courses in Statistics for Business and Economics, Business Communication, and Health Care Communication at WTAMU. She has taught courses including Interpersonal Communication, Public Speaking, Persuasion, Business and Professional Communication, Conflict and Negotiation, and Communication Research Methods at various institutions including California State University, Fresno, Arizona State University, and California State University, Long Beach.Dr. Ramos Salazar’s scholarship specializes in interpersonal communication, health communication, conflict management and cyberbullying, and compassionate communication. Her co-authored scholarship appears in the Journal of Language and Social Psychology, Health Communication, and Communication Quarterly. Her scholarship appears in Business and Professional Communication Quarterly, Aggression and Violent Behavior, and Communication Teacher. Her research has been competitively selected for presentation at the International Communication Association, Work and Family Researchers Network, National Communication Association, Association for Business Communication, Western States Communication Association, and Southern States Communication Association.
