About Leslie Nagy
Leslie Nagy is an accomplished finance executive and CPA with over 28 years of experience working for and with Fortune 500 companies, including those in the environmental solutions, energy, and transportation industries. Leslie’s career includes enterprise-wide transformation initiatives focused on the evolution of high-quality finance functions, M&A transactions, and client service across a variety of industries.Leslie is the Vice President and Treasurer of Waste Management (WM), a Fortune 250 company with over $20B in revenue and North America’s leading provider of comprehensive environmental solutions. She joined WM in November 2017 and served as the Chief Accounting Officer until March 2023. Leslie is instrumental in driving towards a best-in-class finance function, including leading the enterprise resource planning initiative and focusing on enabling the finance support model to be flexible and adaptable to every changing market demands. She also plays a key role in enterprise-wide strategic initiatives including execution of one of the largest acquisitions in the Company’s history and serving on the Company’s inaugural Diversity & Inclusion Leadership Council. Prior to joining WM, Leslie was the Principal Accounting Officer and Controller for Parker Drilling, a global drilling and rental tools services company. Leslie began her career with Ernst & Young (EY) where she spent ten years in the assurance and advisory business services practice primarily serving clients in the energy, air transportation, and waste management industries. Prior to leaving EY, Leslie spent three years in the transaction advisory services practice where she primarily provided seller transaction support to large global companies in the mining and financial services industries. Leslie brings extensive corporate governance experience through her current and former public company leadership roles as well as her years as an independent director for Allies in Hope (formerly AIDS Foundation Houston) where she was Chairman of the Board, Chairman of the Finance & Audit Committee and Treasurer. In her role on the AIH Board, She was instrumental in driving Board/C-Suite succession, long-term strategic planning, and the annual financial plan process. Leslie currently serves as a Board member and member of the Finance & Investment Committee of Houston Community College Foundation. Leslie holds a Masters of Science in accounting and a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas A&M University. She lives in Sugar Land, Texas with her husband and two young sons.
