Nearly Arkansas students received entrepreneurship education and created 3,200 business plans with oversight provided by more than teachers and faculty members who served as team sponsors. More than 1,500 Arkansans from the business, government, education, and nonprofit sectors have volunteered as judges and cash prizes of $1.909 million have been awarded to students and teachers. Activities were underwritten by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation which provided three grants totaling $9.1 million as well as private donations totaling $3 million. Managing Director, Pine State Capital, responsibilities include activities associated with the certification and establishment of a regional center for the eb5 program which was created by Congress to stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation and capital investment by foreign investors and is administered by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
