ABOUT LESLIE COMPTON KASS

I love to lead change, root out bureaucracy, give people meaningful assignments and empower them at every level to be leaders — because when you give people power, they do their best work. I\'ve seen talent blossom when roadblocks were cleared. And as a leader, I never walk past a problem; if I can\'t fix it, I make sure it\'s handed off to someone who can. Clearing obstacles is critical for ensuring a safe workplace environment where people can contribute optimally. I appreciate authenticity, useful feedback, and a willingness to imagine we can do better. I have high standards for what can be achieved and how we perform as a business. Energy is a high-consequence industry — good is not good enough. Employees need to be safe, both physically and psychologically — the safety umbrella encompasses much more than guardrails and hard hats. Running major energy infrastructure, I\'ve learned that today\'s quality is tomorrow\'s safety. We must take care of the environment and people\'s mental health today, to prevent safety issues down the road.My teams find me to be fair and relatable, and my colleagues have a partner and problem solver they can count on. I don\'t expect anyone to be perfect, but I do expect that we all keep learning and trying to do better in everything we do.
