Y OPAS (Outreach Program for Aging Seniors), a volunteer run program, provides free services to help seniors 65+ in Ahwatukee (part of Phoenix) stay independent in their own homes. Y OPAS provides free transportation services to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other shopping and errands. Y OPAS also provides various social activities such as monthly luncheons, dominoes, and art activities to help eliminate feelings of isolation. After volunteering for Y OPAS since 2015, I joined Y OPAS as their Administrator to use my technical background to help transform the office from paper to digital so we could continue to run the program and support our seniors during the pandemic.LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS - Apply online here - https://valleyymca.org/opas/
