About Leslie Anne Condon

Leslie Anne Condon (she/her) is a Providence-based Lao-American multidisciplinary artist and independent curator. As an artist-scholar and cultural worker, she is interested in issues of representation within visual culture in the context of race and gender, including how images are created and consumed in response to evolving social conditions. Her past curatorial projects include New Narratives, Visions/Voices, and Call and Response: Illustration in Uncertain Times. She views her public practice, including her artmaking, scholarship, and curation, as a means to support and advocate for our BIPOC communities. Leslie has served as a panelist, moderator, presenter, project manager, and juror for various organizations across New England, including the Mass Cultural Council, Pao Arts Center, and the Boston Center for the Arts, and served as a graduate lecturer for the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston.Leslie\'s artwork has been exhibited at different venues around the country, including the Rubin-Frankel Gallery at Boston University, the Hopkinton Center for the Arts, and 3S Artspace in Portsmouth, NH; the Asian Arts Initiative in Philadelphia; the Residency Project through MotorLA in Los Angeles, and VisArts in Rockville, Maryland.
